For the second consecutive time, Shooting Stars failed to secure maximum points at home as they were held to a 2-2 draw by the visiting Akwa United.
Akwa United started the game strongly but it was the host that scored the opening goal in the 14th minute through Joshua Akpan.
But the Promise Keepers responded quickly and scored twice through Uche Collins’s 20th and Liman Ahmadu 23rd minutes.
Old war horse Ajani Ibrahim brought Shooting Stars levelled on the stroke of halftime.
The two teams resumed the second stanza with an end-to-end game but the Oluyole Warrior later seized the game.
All their efforts were nullified by the backline of Akwa United and goalkeeper Efala who was outstanding throughout the entire duration of the game.
